About Roan Marketing

The story behind Roan.

In the heart of Eastern Iowa, Roan Marketing was born from a pivotal moment in the life of a social media manager.

After two years working in social media at a car dealership, Kellie was called into her office manager’s office. He looked her directly in the eyes and asked why she wasn’t doing something she was passionate about. The office manager called her out on her bull. It was clear her passion was not cars.

Inspired and liberated, Kellie came face to face with a hard decision. To keep working her 9-5 and let her dreams go. Or to return to her first love, agriculture. And so the seeds of her entrepreneurial story were sown. And Roan Marketing was born.

Over the last 6 years, Roan Marketing has helped over 40 businesses, representing a full spectrum of ag businesses from nationally recognized brands to local mom-and-pop farms. Through modern marketing excellence, creative strategies, and captivating storytelling, Roan’s mission is to help more ag businesses reach more people. Fueled by a love of ag, you won’t find a more passionate and dedicated team.

Kellie Lasack

Roan Marketing CEO

Kellie is an Iowa farm girl who was raised on meat, potatoes, and hard work. Being raised on a cow/calf operation taught her many things in life, most significantly, sometimes you have to get creative. Whether stacking the square bales in the barn, sorting out one cow from 70, or getting her dad to see her way, creative problem-solving was mandatory. It wasn’t long into her teens that she discovered agriculture was her first love and creativity was her genius and gift. These two combined led her to Iowa State University where she graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications and Advertising.
